Regular Season Round 33: KCC Egis - LG Sakers 78-83

Very expected game when 7th rankedEgis (15-24) lost to third ranked Sakers (24-14) in Jeonju 78-83 on Saturday. LG Sakers looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Egyptian center Assem Marei (206-1992, college: MSU) nailed a double-double by scoring 17 points, 14 rebounds and 8 assists for the winning side and guard Junseok Yang (179-2001) accounted for 9 points and 6 assists. Haitian center Cady Lalanne (208-1992, college: UMass) came up with 28 points and 8 rebounds and the former international guard Ung Heo (183-1993) added 8 points and 6 assists respectively for KCC Egis in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Sakers have a solid series of three victories in a row. LG Sakers moved-up to second place, which they share with Mobis Phoebus. KCC Egis lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 24 games lost. LG Sakers will meet league's leader Seoul Knights on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. KCC Egis will play against Wonju DB (#6) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
